Who am I

My name is Kwun Ming Pang (or Peter if you prefer), from Hong Kong. Currently I am a PhD student in the University of Melbourne. I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2025 with a Master's degree with Distinction.

Research interest:

I am working in the field of Algorithm & Data Structure. Specifically, I have research interest in approximate nearest neighbor search problem for vector databases.

Work experience

I worked for about 4 years as a developer in Hong Kong.

After the long working experience, I gained a lot of technical skills as well as problem solving skills, but more importantly, I am motivated and interested to learn more about the theories behind, which is why I am back to pursue a higher education.

Hobbies

Also enjoy reading mystery books and playing rts games.
